Continuing 7

We are four days into our seven thing and truthfully, it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. My mom and I have found some fun recipes to try. We made bacon and egg biscuits and you MUST try them! Here is the recipe.

Ingredients:
8 biscuits
1 pkg of bacon
8 eggs

Make your favorite biscuit recipe. Fry the bacon and poach or fry the eggs. Cut the biscuits in half and top with an egg and two slices of bacon. Serve with fruit and a smoothie. Yum!

Pork Chops

I told you guys I would post another recipe so here it is. (it is really easy)

Ingredients:
4 pork chops
Montreal steak seasoning
4 sweet potatoes

Bake the sweet potatoes at 350 degrees for about an hour. Sprinkle the steak seasoning on the pork chops and fry them in a pan. Serve the pork with fresh ricotta cheese on top and a sprinkle of pepper, with the sweet potatoes on the side. Super easy and super delicious!

Butter

Butter is amazing. I think butter makes everything taste better. Butter is way better than margarine. Margarine is fake and gross and tastes nothing like butter. If you want your recipes to taste delicious use butter. DON'T USE MARGARINE! I think of margarine as butter's evil brother. ( If you use margarine you will make me sad.)
The reason that I didn't post a recipe last night is because my family and I were at a friend's house for dinner. We went over there because was our last dinner before our seven foods thing. My friend's mom called it " The Last Supper". Hehe. I thought it was funny.
I made butter a little while ago because butter isn't on our list of seven foods but, milk and cream are. That way we can make butter, yogurt, or cheese. We'll see how that goes.
Anyway I promise to post a recipe  later today so check back.

Shopping

Ah, shopping. Grocery shopping that is. Going to the grocery store is so fun. You can see so many wierd and different foods there.
Today is our last day of no restrictions to food before we start our seven food thing. What I didn't mention last time is that we can use any of the foods that we already have here so, we are stocking up on what we have, today.
I'm excited to go to the grocery store! Who knew that you could be excited to go grocery shopping? Anyway, just remember that you don't have to be stuck with only having to buy seven things at the grocery store for a whole month.
Don't worry I'll post more recipes later. Oh, I hope you liked the chicken nuggets, those of you who made them. ( I'm still waiting for those awsome recipes)

7

Here is an interesting question for you: If you could only eat seven foods for the rest of your life, what would you eat?
My family is doing a thing where we only eat seven foods for a whole month. We will start this Sunday and it will be interesting to see what it is like.
I wish I had a recipe to share tonight but we had pizza. All of us are headed to a coffee shop where we will have ice cream and coffee/tea.
If you ever want to share a really awesome recipe go ahead. I'll try it so, knock yourself out!

Food

Food, food, food. I love food. It makes me feel happy inside. ( Especially when it contains lots of butter. Shhhh.) So this blog is about food and that's basically all. So I will put a lot of recipes on here. Before you try the recipes, stock up on butter. Believe me because when you are making some cookies at eleven o'clock at night you don't want to have to run to the grocery store because you ran out of butter. Tonight my mom made  gluten free chicken nuggets and they are to die for.

Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 Tbsp butter, melted
2 large eggs
1/4 cup sweet rice flour
1/4 cup corn starch
1 cup of rice chex cereal
1/2 Tsp salt
1/4 Tsp black pepper
1/2 Tsp dried basil
1/4 Tsp dried sage
zest of 1 lemon

Cut the chicken breasts into 1 inch cubes. Melt the butter and cool slightly. Add the eggs and whisk thoroughly. In a ziploc bag crush together the flours and rice chex. Put the flour mixture into a bowl and add seasonings and lemon zest. Make an assembly line with the egg/butter mixture first and flour mixture second in line. Make sure that the flour doesn't budge in front of the egg mixture. Go chicken to egg to flour to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. You can easily do a couple at a time. Put the filled pan into a preheated oven at 350 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes. Serve with veggies and pasta or french fries. ENJOY!
